Lineal Architects + Builders has been honored with a Gold BRICC award from the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod for their commendable renovation work at the Centerville Beach Club. The award recognizes their achievements in Phase 1 of the renovation, covering the lobby, bar, club room, and sitting area, totaling 20,000 square feet. Notably, Lineal Architects + Builders has successfully transformed approximately 2,000 square feet of this space.
The primary objective of the renovation was to fortify the building and update it for the next century, aligning with the owner's vision for long-term sustainability. A noteworthy aspect of the project is its ability to seamlessly blend historical elements with modern features. The renovation is characterized by its careful preservation of the original architecture while incorporating necessary contemporary components.
Particular attention was given to relocating modern requirements to reveal the building's original charm and architectural details. This deliberate effort to balance functionality with historical integrity adds a distinctive touch to the Centerville Beach Club renovation.

However, the project was not without its challenges. Dealing with a century-old, unheated, and uninsulated building constructed on beach sand posed significant obstacles.
