Built in a historic district not far from Cape Cod Bay, we were challenged to build a new structure made to look 100 years old. The owners needed more garage space, but the picturesque and secluded site did not call for a typical garage design. We hid the larger door for car access to the back of the building, keeping the front quaint and simple. This barn was constructed of natural stone veneer and antique heart pine trim. All the windows and doors are hand built of the same heart pine salvaged from old warehouses, lending to the overall feel of a comfortable, worn in barn appearing to have been there for years.
